Keep in mind, you. have to register through the element app, but can switch after that. (Personally, we prefer Fluffychat because it’s interface is less buggy and easier to navigate).
Moderation Policy
Users must comply with U.S. law and be over the age of 18. Beyond that, the only moderation will be for behavior contrary to the promotion of privacy, liberty, freedom, and individual responsibility.
You shouldn’t need a detailed, hand-held policy to figure out that means that if you act like a jackass, you’ll be treated as such. If you act like a criminal, don’t be surprised when we call the cops. But, we’re not going to police you if you’re “politically incorrect,” again, just don’t be a jackass.
So, if you’re pro-big government/nanny state—whether it be a liberal or conservative big government—this isn’t going to be your server. We encourage you to put on your big boy/girl britches and handle yourself like an adult who’s paid a bill at least once in their life.
Additionally, if you think one group of people should be more free than another, this is also not your server. We believe that adult citizens of the United States should all have the same rights and responsibilities regardless of the color of your skin, who you love, how your chromosomes and nether regions are configured, or who or what you worship.
But that’s it. Public chats are moderated per the policy above because they’re public (shocking). Your private space is your private space so long as it’s properly end-to-end encrypted which is between you and math, but even so—don’t be donkey and do illegal stuff on our servers. If we find out, #banned, #strangerdanger, #catch-a-predator-catch-these-hands.
